Apple Health, Washington's Medicaid program, covers ABA for eligible children, and the Seattle metro area has one of the stronger provider markets in the Pacific Northwest. The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) administers waiver programs that can fund ABA and ongoing supports. Eastern Washington, including Spokane and surrounding rural communities, has a smaller but growing provider base.

Infant Toddler Early Intervention (ITEI)
If your child is under 3, Washington families may qualify for free early intervention services through Infant Toddler Early Intervention (ITEI). Services can include speech therapy, developmental support, and behavior support at no cost, even before a formal diagnosis. Once your child turns 3, services shift from early intervention to the public school system under IDEA Part B. Your state's OSEP State Lead oversees special education implementation, including IEPs and school-based support, across Washington.
